VedIntelAstroAPI ("the Service"), operated by CoMo® Workshops, is provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We expressly disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any computation, data, or output
• Warranties of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the API
• Warranties that defects will be corrected or that the Service is free from viruses or other harmful components
• Warranties regarding the suitability of astrological output for any specific application or end-user purpose

All astrological data, computations, charts, Dasha periods, Nakshatra analyses, Panchang information, Dosha assessments, compatibility scores, Muhurta timings, and any other astrological output delivered through the API are provided solely for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes.

Astrological output does not constitute — and must not be presented to end-users as — any of the following:

• Medical or psychological advice — Do not use astrological data to inform health, mental health, or treatment decisions
• Legal advice — Astrological output has no standing in legal proceedings and must not guide legal decisions
• Financial or investment advice — No astrological computation should be used to guide investment, trading, or financial planning
• Relationship or matrimonial guarantees — Compatibility scores are indicative only and do not guarantee relationship outcomes
• Career or business guarantees — Career archetypes and Dasha predictions are not professional career counselling

Developers integrating this API are responsible for including appropriate disclaimers within their own applications informing end-users of the non-advisory nature of the content.

VedIntelAstroAPI uses the Swiss Ephemeris library for planetary computations — an industry-standard engine widely used in professional astrological software. While we strive for precision, we make no absolute guarantee that:

• Computations will be free from rounding errors, floating-point discrepancies, or edge cases in historical or future date ranges
• Results will match those of every other astrological software, given variations in ayanamsa systems, house systems, and algorithmic interpretation
• Divisional chart calculations, Dasha start dates, and Panchang timings will be identical across all astrological traditions or software implementations

Ayanamsa selection (Lahiri, Raman, KP) affects all sidereal calculations. Users are responsible for selecting the ayanamsa appropriate to their application's audience and tradition.

When Claude AI narrative endpoints (/api/v1/ai/*) are made available in Phase 3, the following additional disclaimers apply:

• AI-generated interpretations are produced by a large language model (Anthropic Claude) and are probabilistic outputs, not deterministic facts
• AI narratives may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or culturally inappropriate content that was not intended
• AI-generated content must not be presented to end-users as advice from a certified astrologer, medical professional, or any qualified counsellor
• Developers are solely responsible for reviewing, moderating, and labelling AI-generated content before serving it to end-users
• We are not liable for any outcomes arising from reliance on AI-generated astrological narratives

While we target 99.9% uptime, we do not unconditionally guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability of the API. The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance windows (announced in advance where possible)
• Unscheduled outages caused by infrastructure failures, cyber attacks, or third-party provider incidents
• Overload conditions, DDoS attacks, or abuse mitigation measures
• Force majeure events (see Section 11)

We are not liable for losses, damages, or consequential costs arising from API downtime, degraded performance, or service interruptions.

By using VedIntelAstroAPI, developers and integrators accept full responsibility for:

• API key security — Keeping API keys confidential and not exposing them in client-side code, public repositories, or logs
• End-user disclosures — Informing end-users that astrological content is for informational purposes only and is not professional advice
• Compliance with local laws — Ensuring their application complies with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including laws governing astrology, consumer protection, and data privacy
• Input validation — Validating and sanitising birth data (dates, coordinates, timezones) before submitting to the API
• Appropriate use of outputs — Not using API outputs in high-stakes decisions (medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical systems)
• Rate limit compliance — Not circumventing, bypassing, or artificially inflating API call counts

VedIntelAstroAPI relies on third-party infrastructure including Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Razorpay (payments), and Anthropic (AI). We are not responsible for:

• Outages, data breaches, or service degradation caused by third-party providers
• Changes to third-party terms of service that may affect our ability to provide the Service
• Any data handling practices of third parties beyond what is disclosed in our Privacy Policy

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CoMo® Workshops, its directors, employees, partners, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
• Damages arising from reliance on astrological output, AI-generated content, or any data returned by the API
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
• Damages caused by the actions or omissions of third-party service providers

Our total aggregate liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CoMo® Workshops and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the API or violation of these terms
• Your application's use of astrological data and any harm caused to your end-users
• Any claim by an end-user that your application provided incorrect, misleading, or harmful astrological content
• Your failure to include adequate disclaimers in your application
• Any violation of applicable law by you or your application

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or deprecate API endpoints with reasonable notice (typically 60 days for breaking changes)
• Change response formats, add new fields, or remove deprecated fields
• Alter pricing, rate limits, or plan features with 30 days' notice
• Suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate our Terms of Service
• Discontinue the Service entirely with 90 days' notice

We are not liable for integration failures or business losses caused by API changes made with adequate notice.

CoMo® Workshops shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, war, civil unrest, power failures, internet infrastructure failures, cyber attacks, or failures of third-party services.

Reference to any third-party products, services, or tools within our documentation or API responses does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty of those products or services. Use of third-party integrations is at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

This Disclaimer shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
